UnBound

The Butterfly Effect Project: “Unbound” Is a large scale sculptural installation centered around a 6-foot-tall papier-mâché head, crowned with hand-sculpted porcelain flowers, leaves, and butterflies. From the back of the head, bold ceramic butterflies take flight, connected by colorful yarn strands that cascade to the ground. These threads represent the weight of our thoughts—negative energy, tension, and limiting beliefs. As the butterflies rise, they become symbols of emotional release and mental clarity. Rooted in The Butterfly Effect Project, the piece reflects the idea that even the smallest inner shift can spark meaningful change. Letting go of what no longer serves us opens the door to healing and a freer mind. Visitors are invited to write down something they wish to release and hang their note beneath the butterflies—transforming private thoughts into part of a collective expression. A tall mirror stands directly in front of the sculpture, allowing the figure to face herself. Viewers also see themselves reflected, as if the butterflies are taking flight from their own minds—creating a poetic space for self-connection and transformation. Installed nearby, the Ribbon Flow candle holders, made of ceramic, symbolize the quiet warmth that follows release—a soft flame of hope and inner peace that continues to glow once the burden is let go.
