ArtPrize 2025

ArtPrize is an annual, internationally recognized art competition and cultural event where artists from around the world display their work in over 150 venues across the city, including public parks, museums, restaurants, and hotels. The event is free and open to the public, with visitors using a mobile app to vote for their favorite pieces, determining the winner of a 6 figured public grand prize. A separate set of juried awards also takes place, distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars in total prizes.

The JW Marriott Grand Rapids is a luxury hotel that participated in the event as a venue for artist installations and offered accommodation to visitors.

Butterfly effect project “Unbound” was chosen among approximately 1500 arts by J.W Marriott to be displayed in their Lobby hall as their main elected art.
